Acts Of Matter enters its
2nd DECADE: SEASON 11
Last year we launched the start of a 2-year celebration of our 1st decade. We are so grateful to everyone who joined us last spring for the premiere of Dig and our benefit performance Fête10, a live retrospective that brought emeritus company members together from every season of our first 10 years.
This 10th anniversary season we celebrate that history and move confidently into our 2nd DECADE! We hope you will join in supporting the company as it hits this milestone.
SEASON 11 will include a live performance event in Los Angeles, as well as our continued commitment to our community workshops with Focused Study. Check out our campaign, including the perks of donating!
The company's name acknowledges the inherent capacity of the body, of matter, to express deep truths of our lived experience, truths that matter deeply to our collective humanity.
Our mission is rooted in the knowledge that we are better together. Our creative work focuses on collaborative process and our workshops and training programs are centered in community learning and collective understanding.
Running a small dance company is a huge undertaking. Financial contributions support everyone who is a part of our creative and educational processes, including creative scholarship and work study opportunities for young artists.
